Day 3 Good Intentions

Day 3 Moving on

Good intentions, not so good execution. Had planned to relocate to a different campground within the Catskills. Unfortunately, I could not find one I liked. My intention was to drive for an hour or two and then spend the day kayaking.

However, I ended up in the car for the whole day searching and not finding a place. So now I am on my way to the Allegany National Forest. Tonight, I will be in a hotel.

I have decided that I will then head Mt Rushmore and then on to Yellowstone. With a few detours along the way I am sure.

So I traveled back and forth today, outside GPS range of my phone. I had to stop and buy a map. I got onto “NY 17W” and Waze kept telling me I was going east. No wonder I was lost all day.

I had a lingering migraine from last night, which didn’t help matters. My eyes were very sensitive to light and I took very few pictures.

I did start the day at a German Bakery in Livingston Manor NY. I had an apple turnover for breakfast. I have a piece of apple strudel for NOW.

Today was the day to wire the car for recharging all my devices. I have a dual USB charger for the IPhone and the I Pad. For the laptop and camera batteries I have a 12v to 115v converter with two plugs. Needless to say the front seat was covered with wires that kept coming unplugged as I drove. The Apple laptop connection to the computer came off the most often.
