Lone Butte

I am staying closer to town for awhile. I will be calling my oncologist first thing Monday to go over the results of the biopsy and treatment options. Positive Thoughts.

Yesterday, I went, by my house, to get my laptop so I can develop pictures while I am here. I checked my mail, I have been waiting to receive a box of Sweenor's Chocolates from my friend in Rhode Island, it arrived. Just what the doctor ordered for my recovery.

Quick Post

I awoke early on Tuesday, as I had much to do to prepare for the next 5 to 7 days.

I loaded the car with my laundry, mine is leaking water, and the items I would need. I did all the chores, locked the house and headed to my sister’s house where I would be staying. She is out of town at the moment.

I dropped all of my items off at her house and headed to town. First I voted, I didn’t know if I would get another chance. I then went to the grocery store to stock up on meat, my sister is a vegetarian, so I had to buy some real food. I was about to head back to her house, when I was contacted by Subaru that my vehicle would be ready today, a week earlier then expected. I rushed back to her house to drop off the groceries and grab a quick lunch before going to get my vehicle.

If you read my earlier post I had met a nice lady at the car rental, I had sent her a message about a show I had told her about, but had not heard back from her. I thought she had “ghosted” me and was a bit leary about seeing her. She greeted me with a big smile, I told her that I thought she had ghosted me, she said “no, not her new friend”. It turned out she had not received the message. We are going to dinner and the show next week.

I then picked up my car and went back to my sister’s to do the laundry, which I had planned to do all afternoon. I didn’t arrive until after four, I was up until midnight doing washing, otherwise, I would not have had anything to wear the next day. I needed clean underwear.

Wednesday, I was picked up by a friend and taken to the hospital for a biopsy. I was put under, the doctor did his thing and I was sent home with a catheter and loads of narcotics. That is the reason I had to get my vote in, as I can’t drive until I am off them, hopefully, by Monday at the latest. This is also the reason I am staying at my sister’s, as I live on two miles of pretty rough dirt road, I didn’t want to ride on that with a catheter, nor, have my friends travel twice a far to transport me to the hospital and back. They, also, took me to the doctor the next day to have the catheter removed. I am waiting for the pathology results, which hopefully will come back benign.

I have been up since 4am, the sun is just starting to rise, The latest pain medication is taking effect, so I am going to sit back and enjoy it. I will post an update once I have the results.

A Bit of this and a Bit of that

Started my day at Santa Fe Imaging for a CT Scan. They told me they were going to use a contrasting dye, this involves an intravenous injection. The first two tries to insert the needle failed. The third attempt blew out my vein when they started to inject the dye.They called in a third person and they were successful. After that everything went smoothly, now, I wait hear back doctor.

I then took my vehicle to the dealer to repair the damage done to the to the electrical, fuel and windshield washer systems by the rodents that run around my property.

I contacted the rental agency to see when I could pickup a vehicle. I thought that my appointments would take longer than they did, so they didn’t have a vehicle available until 1:30. I should have scheduled if for an earlier pickup time.

I walked from the dealer to the Southside Plaza Restaurant and had lunch, to kill some time. I couldn’t eat before the appointment so I was pretty hungry.

A great day to sit outside.

The only problem was they seemed to

forget the people outside.

The food was good.

I then wandered around until about one and then headed to the rental office. I was taken care of immediately by, Jessica, who is the Assistant Branch Manager. She was very professional and helpful. When we got to the car she went over many of the features and we searched through the manual to ensure I would be putting the right grade of fuel in. We had a very nice conversation and made plans to meet in Madrid. I showed her my art and we have a mutual acquaintance there.

I then went back to the dealership to move my things to the rental.

I then headed home to clean the house as I to get a blood test on Tuesday and on Wednesday I was at the gallery. the dirty dishes have been piling up. I definitely need to get new batteries for my solar system so I can make it through a couple days without having to worry about it. Right now I lose my electricity around 10 o’clock at night and don’t get it back till the sun comes up.
